God Knows
Wherever you are in your life right now, God is right there with you. If you are stressed because of school, struggling with family, wondering about what the future looks like, or just discouraged from being on the wrong path for too long - He sees you.
If you feel as though you are in a “dry season” this is your reminder that He’s right there walking the path alongside you!
God is always there with you whether you know it or not, whether you feel it or not, and whether you feel worthy or not.
God knew all the struggles you would go through and all the sins you would commit before you were even born to live it all out. As a result, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to die for those sins. Due to His Son’s perfect life, innocent death, and resurrection you are forgiven - if you believe in what He has done and repent for your sins. Notice, it is all because of what HE has done, not because of anything you have done. Therefore, when you don’t feel worthy it’s okay- HE IS! There is no amount of difficulty, guilt, or shame that can halt His love for you. Love, most importantly His love, covers over a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8). You do not have to feel a certain way, or be on “a certain spiritual level,” to trust that He is in control and taking care of you. If you have breath in your lungs, He is not done with you yet! God works with what you have to offer. He has already factored in what you are lacking and will supply the growth you need. In addition, you must realize that what you need can only be found in Him. If you don’t have the strength, He gives you His; if you need encouragement, He lifts you up; if you feel heavy, He takes the weight upon Himself. Isaiah 41:10 says, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse is an encouraging way of telling you how God will strengthen you and help you, therefore, He is with you all the way. Matthew 11:28-29 explains how He takes your weight. The verses states, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” God not only takes care of what is burdening you, but He also gives you rest.
You don’t have to worry when the God of the universe is on your side.
The Bible has many different people that God chose knowing that they would sin, or had issues, yet He still used them for His glory.
Moses, who split the Red Sea and led Israelites out of Egypt, didn’t speak well.
David, the man after God’s own heart, had an affair and killed the adulteress’ husband.
Jonah, yes Jonah as in the one who was eaten by a big fish, fell into that position by trying to run away from God.
Elijah, a prophet of God, was depressed.
The trait that each of these men had is being humble enough to know they couldn’t carry out what God asked of them on their own. In turn, God equipped each of them for His purpose and shined through them all the more. They all had faults and problems that we would think disqualified them from being used by God for a greater purpose. Thankfully, His way is always better. And thank God He is patient and gracious with His people! He qualifies the the ones He calls. Romans 8:28 states, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Whether you think everything is going wrong, you feel you’re just making one bad decision after another or you're struggling mentally, now may be the time to turn to God. He is always there waiting. He may want to teach you something, produce something good in you, or just want to help guide you. For that to happen, there needs to be a change in your heart posture. There should be a realization that you can only do so much in your “power.” Do your best and let God do the rest. Being in a place that you know you need Jesus is the best place to be. We are made to depend on Him. Colossians chapter one at the end of verse sixteen to verse seventeen states, “all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Therefore, when you feel like you and/or your world is falling apart, turn to God. Remember that God is always there for you, and He holds everything together.
